For the first time ever a separator has been designed which separates magnetic fragments whose force of attraction is less than their deadweight.
Application: Used to separate materials with weak magnetic properties, such as various stainless steel qualities, car tyre fragments containing studs and steel wire, etc.
Process: The separator has a sloping separation bed with a highly magnetised surface. A feeder belt running upwards over this sloping surface transports the metals to the collection hopper, while non-magnetic material tumbles downwards off the belt.
Unique features: For the first time ever a separator has been designed which separates magnetic fragments whose force of attraction is less than their deadweight.
The gravity-assisted separator is protected by patent in several European countries and in the USA.
Customer segments: Fragmentation and recycling of, for example, various stainless steel qualities, tyre granulation, electronic recycling, residual products from the ceramics industry etc.
